Once the legal requirements for access have been met, the Academic Committee of the PhD Programme will be responsible for selection and admission, in accordance with the following criteria:
- Students who have satisfactorily completed the Master's Degree in Spanish and Hispano-American Music taught at the Faculty of Geography and History of the UCM or the Master's Degree in Hispanic Music taught at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the UVa, or the Master's Degrees that may replace them in the future, will be eligible for direct access.
- All students must present, in order to be admitted, a research project endorsed by a lecturer or doctoral researcher, which must be positively endorsed by the Academic Committee of the Doctoral Programme.
- In the event that the Committee considers it necessary, a personal interview will be held or a letter of motivation will be required from the candidate before admitting their enrolment to the PhD Programme.
Selection Criteria:
- Academic background and academic record: 50%. Degrees with competences and knowledge related to the areas of specialisation of the PhD programme will be especially valued.
- Professional and research experience: 20%. Professional activities and publications related to the area of research of the PhD programme and particularly publications related to the area of research of the PhD programme will be especially valued.
- Academic stays abroad, in research centres and/or officially recognised centres of high culture: 10%. Those related to the area of specialisation of the PhD programme will be particularly valued.
- Obtaining research grants or scholarships, especially those related to the area of specialisation of the PhD programme: 10%.
Personal interview or motivation letter: 10%.
